I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education for the last 14 years. I started my career in a public-school setting working with five-year-old students. I am so passionate about this field because each child is so unique and different. There is never a dull moment when working with younger children. I really enjoy watching children grow and I love to build relationships with their families. I have a strong understanding of early childhood development and how crucial play is in the early years. It’s very difficult for me to choose one quote to be my favorite as these two have been a way I see the world with children.
“You see a child play, and it is so close to seeing an artist paint, for in play a child says things without uttering a word. You can see how he solves his problems. You can also see what’s wrong. Young children, especially, have enormous creativity, and whatever’s in them rises to the surface in free play.”
I am a firm believer that a healthy mind begins with a healthy lifestyle from, food to remaining active. Outside of work, we love to travel, go camping, and fishing with my family. We love new adventures, new places, trying out new foods, and learning about culture.
